Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, you can cancel your Stansted Airport Taxi booking, but the cost and refund depend on how close to the travel time you cancel. Cancelling well in advance usually reduces fees, while last-minute cancellations (e.g., within 12 hours of travel) can incur higher charges or even the full fare. Always check your confirmation and T&Cs for specific timelines and cancellation contact details.

Can I book for more than 8 passengers ?

Yes, we can cater for larger groups of more than 8 passengers. While standard online booking covers up to 8 seats, for very large groups or special vehicle needs, it’s best to contact the company directly so they can arrange appropriate vehicles and provide the best price and service.

How early do I need to book my taxi ?

We recommend you book your taxi as far as possible in advance ONLINE for the very best fares. Never just leave your transfer needs until you get to the airport - pre-book when you book your flights in order to save at least 20% and at a level that is well below the in-terminal taxi provider.

Are your prices per vehicle or per person?

All fares are per vehicle, not per person. This means the price shown covers the entire car you select, whether it’s for 1 person or a group. This makes it a cost effective choice for families and groups.

Are there any hidden charges?

No, Stansted Airport Taxi does not have any hidden charges. The price you see at booking includes the fare as quoted, provided your journey stays within the standard Terms of Carriage. Additional fees may only apply if you request extra services, such as waiting longer than the included allowance.

Are you a licenced company?

Yes, Stansted Airport Taxi is a fully licensed and regulated private hire operator registered with Uttlesford District Council. This means the company and its drivers meet strict safety, insurance and operational standards for passenger transport in the UK.

Do you offer child seats?

Yes, we can offer child booster seats only. We do not offer child seats for infants. At the time of booking please note the age of your child. We welcome passengers who wish to use their own child seats - we can store these for you until your return journey.

Do your drivers monitor flight arrival times for delays?

Yes, all of our drivers are trained to track and monitor flight arrival times. If a flight is delayed over 3 hours, in line with our T&Cs, we reserve the right to re-allocate a driver and/or cancel the transfer should the delay result in no definitive landing time.

Can I pay by card and do you levy c/c surcharges?

As from 13th January 2018 no company can levy surcharges for card payments for domestic related travel. We offer cash and 20% deposit payment via Pay Pal and we DO NOT levy any surcharges. (This latest EU requirement excludes business travel and those paying with business credit cards).

Do you send driver details after I/we have booked?

Yes, once you have completed the validation process, and normally a few days prior to the transfer (if applicable), you will be emailed more details on how you will be met at the airport. In addition, we will provide you details of the drivers name and contact mobile telephone number to ensure that communication between you and the driver once you arrive is as effective as possible.

Is there a taxi rank at Stansted Airport?

There is not a formal hackney carriage taxi rank at Stansted Airport but rather a pre-booked car service located in the main terminal in international arrivals. Whilst the in-terminal service is very good, for the very best taxi fares we would always recommend that passengers pre-book their transfer well in advance online instead of attempting to book their transfer upon arrival. A taxi between Central London and Stansted Airport may cost between £75 GBP and £120 GBP (more for an Executive, MPV or VIP service) and will take between 1 hour 10 minutes and 1 hour 35 minutes, although this will depend on the time of day and driving conditions when travelling. The usual route Central London will be via the A11 and M11.

Are there taxis available 24/7 at Stansted Airport?
